New York Fundraiser

Dates: Friday, February 7 and Saturday, February 8, 2020 at 7:00 PM

Location: Lendrum Mennonite Church – Fellowship Hall

Tickets: $25.00 – prepayment required in January

Who will be entertaining us? Why YOU will! If you have an idea for a musical piece – vocal or instrumental, a comedy routine, magic act, poetry recitation … you get the picture…. Then you can email Diana with your chosen piece, and what night you would like to perform, so that she can balance the programs between the two evenings. It can also be a family member or friend who performs.

Tickets are being sold to choir members first before we advertise it to a wider community due to space limitations. But of course you are welcome to bring family and friends. The more the merrier! The sign up list for tickets will also be available at the first registration night in January. Cheques for the auction evening are to made payable to “Te Deum Singers NYC”.

We are asking you to approach businesses or friends for silent auction items as well. We have an “official” Te Deum request for donations letter to provide to businesses. We have had them printed and they will be made available to you at rehearsals. I am also attaching an electronic version should you prefer to share it that way. We are also hoping to have a few smaller raffle items available. While we cannot offer a Charitable Tax Receipt for these donations, we can offer advertising of the businesses making a donation, in our programs and on our website. Donations can be brought to any Monday rehearsal or to the retreat on Saturday, January 25.

There will also be volunteer opportunities such as Decorating, Set up, Take down, Kitchen helpers, Raffle ticket sellers, Auction attendants. There will be sign up sheets available at our first registration in January (13) for the various jobs.

There will be a January 25, 2020 deadline for bringing in Auction Items and Ticket Sales so that we can do the paperwork necessary to get ready for the event including printing the programs for the evenings.
